Music Lessons for Adults
So you want to learn a musical instrument? Well, here’s your chance! We offer individual instruction for Piano, Violin, Viola, Guitar, Cello and Voice. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, we are looking forward to sharing our love of music with you! We are proud of our team of excellent teachers. While each has his/her own personal style, they are all highly trained professionals, with both teaching and performance experience. Their goal is not only to teach an instrument, but also to show each student how to make studying music an enjoyable journey to last a lifetime.
Selecting the appropriate teaching style
We believe that the right match between student and teacher is essential for the student’s progress and enjoyment of learning. The new student is assigned to a faculty member whose teaching style matches closely to the students learning style and personality. We will do our best to schedule lessons at a convenient day and time.
Trial Lessons
First trial lesson combines a lesson and a consultation, prior to enrollment in individual instruction. Students can have the noncommittal opportunity to try an instrument or meet a teacher. Trial lessons are paid at the current rate for 30 Minutes of private instruction. Students can have one paid trial lesson before they register for regular 14-week session. The History of Classical Music
A summer-session music appreciation class for adults Have you ever wanted to learn more about classical music, but did not know where to begin? In this series of four classes, Newton Music Academy faculty member will walk you through some of the classical music masterpieces of the past four centuries. In a relaxed and informal setting, you will learn how to listen to music in a way that will enhance your enjoyment and understanding of this wonderful cultural treasure.
