Admissions – How to Register

Since spots are limited, we suggest registering as early as possible.

How to Change Current Spot or Teacher

New Student Registration:

    * Please complete all steps below:

  1.  For Private lessons: Email the office to get matched with the teacher and find out about available spots
     For Group Classes: Select our desired class from NMA schedule and email the office to check for available spots. Please note that spots are booked on a first-come, first-served basis
  2. Fill out the online form #1
  3. Print and complete registration forms from our website:
  4. If paying by Check: Mail completed forms along with the check made payable to Newton Music Academy to 14 Roland St., Newton, MA 02461 (Note: The mailing address is different from your class location  Do not leave your registration at the school. We no longer collect registrations at Wexford location.)
  5. If paying by Zelle, follow these steps:
    • Send payment to nma@newtonmusicacademy.com via Zelle
    • Include the student’s full name in the Zelle transfer notes.
    • Email us Registration Forms so we can process your payment.

Returning Student Registration:

Priority Registration is offered for current students who would like to keep their spot for next session. Teachers will not be able to set aside time slots for current students after the deadline. There are no refunds for lessons booked through priority registration.

Fall Session Registration: 

  1. Fill out the online form #1
  2. Print and complete forms 2 and 9 (liability waiver) from our website.
  3. If paying by Check: Mail the completed forms 2 and 9 along with the check made payable to Newton Music Academy to 14 Roland St., Newton, MA 02461. Do not leave your registration at the school. We no longer collect registrations at the school location. 
  4. If paying by Zelle, follow these steps:
    • Send payment to nma@newtonmusicacademy.com via Zelle
    • Include the student’s full name in the Zelle transfer notes.
    • Email us form 2 and 9 so we can process your payment.
  5. We offer a Payment Plan option. To use this option, print form 6 instead of form 2.

Winter & Spring Session Registration:

  1. Print and complete form 2  from our website.
  2. If paying by Check: Mail the completed form 2 along with the check made payable to Newton Music Academy to 14 Roland St., Newton, MA 02461. Do not leave your registration at the school. We no longer collect registrations at the school location. 
  3. If paying by Zelle, follow these steps:
    • Send payment to nma@newtonmusicacademy.com via Zelle
    • Include the student’s full name in the Zelle transfer notes.
    • Email us form 2 so we can process your payment.
  4. We offer a Payment Plan option. To use this option, print form 6 instead of form 2.

      Summer Session Registration:

  1. Email your teacher to discuss and confirm the dates and times for your summer lessons.
    Note that this step does not constitute a final booking until the payment is received by the office.
  2. Alternate Teacher: If your regular teacher is not available for summer lessons, please email us. We’ll provide a suggestion for a different summer teacher.
  3. Print and complete form 4 from our website.
  4. If paying by Check: Mail the completed form 4 along with the check made payable to Newton Music Academy to 14 Roland St., Newton, MA 02461. Do not leave your registration at the school. We no longer collect registrations at the school location. 
  5. If paying by Zelle, follow these steps:
    • Send payment to nma@newtonmusicacademy.com via Zelle
    • Include the student’s full name in the Zelle transfer notes.
    • Email us form 4 so we can process your payment.

How to Request Changes: 

  • To request Change of Spot, Teacher, or Instrument, use this form: https://forms.gle/SUKRAfrWyiA7uLmx6
  • New openings will only be known after the deadline.
  • To secure your current spot as a backup, submit your payment before the deadline.
  • If a preferred spot becomes available after the deadline, we’ll move your current spot to your preferred one.
  • Remember, payment for your current spot is non-refundable. Only pay if you can keep it.
